Account Types

Stax Account Types are account groupings, meaning Stax allows you to select a variety of Stax Account Types and place them in a group. The purpose of Account Types is to allow you to attach specific Policies to a collection of AWS accounts, as well as manage AWS Account Access Permissions for each Account Type by assigning Stax User Groups.

Account Types and Policies

Stax Policies can be attached to an Account Type. The permissions within these Policies are then applied to every AWS Account within the Account Type.

Account Types and Stax Groups

Access to the AWS Console/CLI is governed by Stax Groups and Stax Account Types. Stax Account Types can be assigned to a Stax Group and AWS roles can be assigned to each Account Type within that Stax Group. Users within the Group inherit the AWS roles assigned to each Account Type.
