📄️ About API Tokens
API Tokens are security credentials that can be used to authenticate to the Stax API, most easily via the Stax SDK for Python. API Tokens comprise of an Access Key and a Secret Key. The role permissions for API Tokens can be found here.
📄️ API Token Permissions
API Tokens provide programmatic access to the Stax API and cannot be used to log into the Stax console. The below table provides a a list of permissions for each Stax role used to manage the access level of your API Token.
📄️ Create an API Token
Create an API Token to gain programmatic access to Stax. You can choose to store these credentials yourself, or have Stax store them securely in Systems Manager Parameter Store.
📄️ Manage API Tokens
Change the description, access level or tags of your existing API Token, or delete an API Token that you no longer need.
📄️ Retrieve API Tokens from Parameter Store
When you create a Stax API Token, you have the choice of storing the Access Key and Secret Key in your own credential store, or you can choose to have Stax store them for you in Parameter Store.
