Configure AWS Organization

Stax provides a number of optional advanced hardening options for your AWS Organization. These hardening options are not suitable for all customer use cases so it is important to understand the impact that each of these options will have on your AWS Organization.

SettingDescription
Allow Cross Region Bedrock AccessBy default, your Stax Organization will not allow cross-regional access to unsupported regions (see more). When using Amazon Bedrock, Stax recommends the use of application inference profiles so that invocation requests are routed only through Stax-supported regions (see more). However, there may be some foundation models where cross-regional access, including access to Stax-unsupported regions, is required (see more). This setting will lift restrictions for Amazon Bedrock foundation models wherever single-region routing is not supported.

Setting Up AWS Organization configuration

  1. Log in to the Stax Console
  2. Click on the Organization menu item, and then click on the Foundation Services sub-item
  3. Click on the AWS Organization tile
  4. Click on the edit button to begin updating your AWS Organization settings
  5. Enable each option by clicking on the corresponding toggle.
  6. Review your changes and click on the Save button

Allow for some time while configuration is in progress. Once configured, the AWS Organization tile should transition from Configuring to Active on the Foundation Services page.
