📄️ About the Compliance module
Stax makes adherence to industry standards and internal compliance easy by providing Rule Bundles to reduce the burden of finding and creating your own sets of Rules. Rule Bundles are predefined collections of Rules that help your organization compare itself to industry frameworks and best practices, such as the CIS benchmark and best practices for using Amazon S3. We also have an extensive catalog of customizable Rules where you can select the segment to which the Rule is applied as well as any other parameters you'd like to customize, for example, the number of characters required in IAM passwords.
📄️ Add a Rule from the Catalog
Rules in Stax are automated compliance checks to ensure your resources are compliant with the standards you apply to them. These standards can be external standards, like the Center for Internet Security (CIS), a set of industry best practices around a specific AWS product, or your own internal standards.
📄️ Disable a Rule
Stax is continually monitoring the compliance posture of your AWS resources against the Rules you apply to them.
📄️ Manage Rule Bundles
Adding Rule Bundles to the Compliance module allows you to better organize Rules, as well as to easily deploy and manage industry best-practice Rule sets.
📄️ Migrating from the Compliance module to AWS compliance tools
If you use the Stax Compliance module to manage your organizational compliance in AWS, you might want to consider some of the alternatives below. If you have AWS Enterprise Support, your TAM can help with this too.
📄️ New Compliance Module experience preview program
Stax is excited to announce the release of the new Compliance Module experience in Stax. The new experience will give customers access to near real-time compliance data on the Rules page which reflects the constantly evolving state of an AWS environment. Additionally, new filtering capability will enable compliance data to be viewed in a more refined and customized way that aligns with your business needs.
📄️ Reviewing the outputs of a Rule Bundle
Rule Bundles are a powerful way of evaluating your AWS Organization's compliance against a number of predefined rules crafted from technology best-practices and established industry frameworks. Once you've added a Rule Bundle, you can review its outputs in the Stax console, or by enabling one or more Notifications.
📄️ Understanding Public Exposure Rule Bundle Failures
After the Public Exposure Rule Bundle is added to your environment, Stax will begin evaluating resources within your AWS Organization against the configured rules.
