About Views

Stax uses Views to display your data in a way that makes sense to you and your organization. You might choose to create views based on the AWS account resources reside in, the value of a given tag, the resource's type, region, or some combination of these.

Using Views

You can create views and segments within Stax to customize how you see data. This can be used for comparison and reporting purposes on the Cost and Wastage pages, as well as for managing your notifications and compliance posture.

Your main view of the world might be a Team view, but you may also want to be able to view your AWS data by Account Type or Environment to understand how your cost and risk profile looks between production and non-production across all Divisions, or you may want to have specific compliance rules targeted to just your Production environment.

To do this, you'll need to create a new view and set up conditions to allocate resources to segments in that View.

Global Filters

To narrow down your exploration of the Cost page to just one part of your organization, use Global Filters and choose a View segment to filter the Cost page to a single cost center, project, account, or something else entirely.
